The exhibition: “The Archive Tells its Own Story. The books of the Renzo Piano Foundation” presents the eleven volumes published by the Renzo Piano Foundation, each devoted to a single project and edited by Lia Piano, creator, curator and director of the Foundation’s editorial programs.
On September 10, a talk will also be hosted in the Hall of the Academic Senate, involving Lia Piano together with Fulvio Irace and Francesca Molteni. An opportunity to discover more about the creation and realization of these books, their essential relationship with the archives and the protagonists of the project's adventures, with the presentation of the documentary "The Power of the Archive".
Folded Line is a project by Anna Merci Architecture created with the Gruppo Puricelli to exhibit the eleven volumes issued by the Renzo Piano Foundation in the hall of the Aula Magna. The folded line is made up of eleven modules placed side by side for a total length of 20 meters, while the width and inclination of the fold are created by the features of the exhibits themselves. The anthracite-colored surface engages in a dialogue with the metal elements of the hall and the veining of the marble.
