Parallel Lives Susumu Shingu + Renzo Piano

Opens today the exhibition Parallel Lives: Susumu Shingu + Renzo Piano at the il Nakanoshima Museum of Art in Osaka.

The exhibition presents the lives and the works of the Japanese sculptor Shingu Susumu and Italian architect Renzo Piano, born in the same year and collaborators since 1989, when Piano, winner of the international competition to design the passenger terminal building for Kansai International Airport, asked Shingu to create something that would “make the streams of air visible.” The result was "Boundless Sky" on the international flight departure floor. Starting with this project, the two artists have worked together on numerous projects around the world.
