What happens when the language of architecture encounters that of television? In the late 1970s, Renzo Piano explored this intersection through a series of television programs aired on RAI. By opening the doors of his studio, Piano shared his architectural vision not only through sketches and drawings but also through film. The camera became an active participant, capturing experiments conducted on models built directly on set—a mise-en-scène where the scale of architectural projects intertwined with the visual perception of images and television’s capacity to convey the principles of construction in real time. This exploration invites us to reflect on the role of media as instruments of knowledge, the impact of images, and their communicative power within the realm of architecture.
