IRCAM - Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique

IRCAM has as its mission to stimulate and pursue scientific research around musical creation. The Institute stands under Place Stravinsky almost completely buried alongside the Center Pompidou. In 1989, IRCAM had new spaces: a conference room, a media center and its own offices, joined in a narrow building located at the corner between Place Beaubourg and Place Stravinsky adjacent to the underground digging.
