The headquarters of the Renzo Piano Foundation is known as Villa Nave. It’s located in Vesima, just west of Genoa, and was inaugurated in June of 2008.
Today, Villa Nave hosts the living archive: an exhibit which brings together an important selection of drawings and models from the archives of the Foundation itself for the first time.
The classroom is home to conferences, lectures and labs; it is where are shown the current projects from the Renzo Piano Building Workshops.
Villa Nave isn’t open to the public. Students and pupils from junior and high schools and Universities can have a group visit, accompanied by their teachers. These visits are done with Fondazione staff or model-makers only, and reservation is compulsory.
